Tahoe Fires

This past weekend, I was staying at a friends cabin in Tahoe. We went boating down the truckee river so I left my GPS at the cabin since I didn't want to get it wet or leave it in the car. While we were boating, we saw 6-7 firetrucks go by. Little did we know the city of Myers (where we were staying) was just miles from the Angora fire.

When we heard about it, we tried to go back to get our belongings (including my wallet). The police was blocking the roads, but they let us through to evacuate to Reno where we flew home later that week. This was a terrifying time for us.

Tahoe is so beautiful, I can't imagine how this is still going on. I feel so bad for all the people who are affected by this. For any of you in Tahoe, I hope you are OK.
