Garmin Nuvi 3597 Picture Viewer

I don't see it on my 3597. How is it accessed?

I only have options for automatic volume and a phone/navigation audio mixer.

It is hidden in the second panel of the Diagnostic Page:

. Volume control
. Press upper right corner for a few seconds to get show Diagnostics Page
. Down arrow to second panel
. Select picture viewer.

3597 shows then a blank screen with menu icons on the left edge.

Select the "play icon". The viewer cycles through the photos, in my case, in the folders "pictures" both in the main memory and the SD card.

Press the upper left quadrant of the screen to advance the pictures manually.

It is kind of slow. Takes a couple of seconds for the photos to show up.

I found it sometime back when I was researching if I could add a custom splash screen on my 3597 like I have on my older nuvi's. Unfortunately, the 3597 doesn't support that. I don't really see much value to the 3597 picture viewer. It is difficult to get to and very limited in function. I am sure most folks prefer to use their phone to view pictures.

I stumbled across it the other day and wondered why it is hidden. just didn't make a lot of sense to me. :grin
