Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo and then take a 20 minute drive north to a little village called Troncones. Village is so small you can walk everywhere you need to go. Just paved the main road a couple of years ago
The villa we stay in is right on the beach and they have private pools in the compound too. Great people and we feel very safe. Been going there for over 10 years now!

We're getting rain in Northern California! And the snow in the Tahoe area is heavy -- a lot of water. We need a lot more to make up for years of drought -- and more for years to come.
Lots of areas are also learning that years of drought takes its toll on trees and vegetation that usually holds back hillsides... Lots of mudslides and downed trees already, and undoubtedly many more to come.

it should stop around march or April in the passes we have had over 100 inches of snow after last years really dry summer I guess we needed it in Washington , already planning a trip to new Mexico and Arizona in April before it get to hot .

My wife & I decided to go through all our old paperwork and get rid of what we no longer needed. Filled 2-30 gallon trash bags and overheated the shredder motor. Amazing how much "stuff" you can accumulate over 20+ years.

well we got the honor to take care of my daughters pets while she takes a road trip for a week to California ! we don't have any house pets because we like to take trips with out the worry of pets " we have a cat that lives out doors that me and my neighbor feeds . my daughter has two dogs and two cats that live in her house one is a very large st Bernard destructive creature the other is a small lap dog the st Bernard has chewed a laptop electric cords knocked over plants eaten lagos small toys while she was there ! by the time she returns that house should be ready for demolition we live about an hour away and we are supposed to feed and water them for a week and let them out in the back yard to run for a while oh I forgot she also has a ferret , she loves her animals I told her wait until you get older and slow down to get pets !! we did suggest a kennel for the st Bernard she said it was $350 for the week and said the house will be ok

I left my car outside last night for the rain to wash all the salt off it before the snow returns in a few hours. It's that time of year.

animals
we seem to have more birds and small animals around this winter I think the drought last year is the reason we have possums cats raccoons humming birds in the back yard. so we put some cat food and bread crumbs out and stuff for the humming birds. one thing we don't seem to have this year is mice I think that's due to the possums and cats . its real fun watching cats and possums eating out of the same bowl at the same time and getting along !
