84 Lumber Company's origins date to 1956 when it opened an original cash and carry lumber yard in Eighty Four,PA.Within 5 years of its founding, the company began an expansion program, opening new stores with the company's no-frills approach in order to keep overhead low. In time, the stores expanded to include kitchen and bath design centers and other home displays.
