Looked at account stats this morning...
I've been part of the family for 7 years!
Where has the time gone?
I've gotten older (grumpier?). My Mini Cooper has gotten older, too -- it wants new brakes.
How about the GPS/nav world? The birds have evolved, but a lot of the same birds are still flying. We won't have boxes that use the new frequencies for a few years yet. The boxes we have -- the displays have gotten bigger, denser, and arguably better. The micros running the show have gotten a whole lot faster in 7 years...
The UI (user interface) hasn't evolved much, because the users haven't evolved much... That increased processor capability have eliminated things such as "recalculating" and allowed for those bigger and denser displays, and smoother graphics.
Yeah, the users haven't evolved much -- we keep seeing stories in the press about "my GPS told me to do it!" Idiots.
I hope we are here for many years -- healthy, happy, and loved. Some times I think that's the best we can hope for.
