Here is a way to visit both mundane and awesome sites using your GPS. Visit http://www.geocaching.com/ and join in the treasure hunt.

Agreed

I have been a member of that site for 5 years and love geocaching. I have been to places I wouldnt have gone to under normal circumstances.

Great past time

Yup.

Geocaching is a great way to get some exercise while having fun; and at the same time learn things about places in your community.

While you can Geocache with an automotive GPS like a nuvi, it is awkward at best and usually frustrating. So if you really get into it, you will want to invest in a good handheld GPS, or use the smart phone apps.

...use a nuvi to get me close to the geocache on a road and then use a Garmin V to locate the cache. It is entertaining and a great way to get exercise. I tried several in the winter, but tramping through a couple of feet of snow is hard....and then the cache might be buried under the snow.

Thanks for the 'nudge'. I might try again in the spring.
