you don't have the Communicator plug-in installed.

Illiterate? Write for free help.

More Detail. please

Sounds to me like whatever program (Express or MapUpdater) you are using is not able to get a connection.

Many times, people find that there is a hidden dialog asking if you want to let this or that program run. So what you should do is to close all other programs so that you are only looking at your desktop.

Then - connect your device to your PC and, when it is recognized by the PC, then fire up Express or MapUpdater and then see what happens.

Give us a report please.

.

Use Map updater, instead. No plugins required.

Router? Firewall?

Since you mention this occurring with multiple GPS devices, the problem must be with your computer, ISP or some other access issue.

Do you have a router or firewall that's preventing GarminMapUpdater's access to the internet until you give it permission?

Has this problem been around for more than a day? If the error has just occurred, maybe your ISP is having an issue that will be corrected soon. Are you using a pretty standard DSL or cable internet connection? If not, how do you access the internet?

You've been around quite a while now and have updated your map successfully in the past. What is different between then and now?

DOWN LOADING MAPS

I am trying to find the latest Mqp Updater. Where can I get it. I have an older version and it look like it might work. Does it matter what version I use.

Here's a link:

The updater hasn't changed in the past six months or so.

DOWN LOADING MAPS

This is the first time that I have had problem down loading the map to my GPs.

Here is what I did.

I did an update on my computer to make sure that all my updates were current.

Than I right click on the map updater icon and click on authorization tag and put the computer as the author.

I don't know how all this had to do with my computer, but it worked and I updated all three gps without any problem.
