Garmin vs Rand McNally

Is there a difference in the data provided for a Garmin CSV or a Rand McNally CSV? Question comes from looking at the POI for WinCo and a few others that show a GPX for Garmin and a CSV for Rand McNally.

Basically, will the RM CSV be the same as if created for Garmin?

It does however state there that Garmin users should continue to use the GPX format where it is available along with the Rand McNally CSV. I guess that indicates that a Garmin user could use the CSV files that appear here without the Rand McNally note however.
