Comparison 255W and 42LM

Other than lifetime maps, any comments comparing the 255W I have against the 42LM, which can be had from Best Buy this week for $90?

Looks like

Looks like you'd pick up Lane Assist, Junction View, and Speed Limits displayed on the map screen with the 42LM. Other than that they look about the same so it's a matter of whether those features are worth the cost of the unit or not.

Tools

I have a 255W and a 40LM

The one thing I don't like about the 40LM is the loss of all the Tools that were accessed via the Tools button on the Where To screen.

If you were using some of the tools you may want to look at the 42LM Manual and see if it kept them.

The 255 does have speed

The 255 does have speed limit display.

But

But does the 255W. The Garmin website say YES for the 255 and NA for the 255W. See

Check out Amazon for Cheaper Prices See 5oLM 5"

Steve, You may want to check out Amazon.com. 42LM selling for $79.99 with 2 day shipping for Prime Customers, otherwise free shipping for purchases over $25.

Better yet, take a close look at the 50LM 5 inch screen for 89.99. I have two of them and they are great. Easy to find intuitive address locations, easy to read large screen, lane assist, and speed limit info.

Amazon also sells a fantastic clip on sun shade which fits unit perfectly.

To clarify, my 255W does have speed limit display, website not withstanding.
