Harley Deal Button Link Lost

I have a Road Tech Zumo 550 gps and the last time I updated the map I lost the link from the "Harley Deal" button to the file. When I click on the button the hour glass appears then it says "No Matches Found". I know I can install the POI in their own folder and get to it through the Extra button, but I would like the Harley button to work. I am running the main maps from my SD card because it will not fit in the factory gps memory. Thanks in advance.

Two thoughts

1) Could it be that your database was lost and could be reinstalled?

...or reinstalled with with Garmin Express or WebUpdater or myGarmin?

2) If the built-in HD database appears as a standard POI file (a .gpi), I wonder if the POI Loader program could remove it when you're given the option to either "Install new custom POIs onto your device" or "Remove all previously installed custom POIs from your device." There was a time that POI Loader could remove the specialized trucker database files from the trucker GPS devices and this resulted in many aggravated Garmin-owning truckers.

On the other hand, if the file is there but just the submenu button disappeared, it may be something else. I've never used a zumo. Just checking--is there a chance the button just got relocated on the submenu to a later position and that you need to tap the down arrow to see and tap it?

This may be the sort of question that could be best answered/fixed by contacting Garmin Customer Service.

Good luck. If you get it back, be sure to report back here with the solution.

in earlier version

I think it was version 2.7.1 that had that change in it - at least for the trucker databases. Whether that "protection" was extended to the Harley Zumo version or not is anyone's guess.

You could take your unit to a Harley dealer and see if they would let you copy the file.

Problem solved

I ended up calling Garmin and they suggest I do a hard reset by holding my finger on the lower right hand corner during reboot and that solved the problem. Yes I lost my favorites and had to re-setup my preferences but that only took a few minutes.
Thanks for the help and advice.
