URL link to report new, or closed roads, wrong addresses, etc.

I just now reported a routing error that has been wrong on my Garmin GPS for several years. I thought I would share the link: https://mapreporter.navteq.com/#dashboard . You do NOT have to register. Just click on the first "Map Creator" you see as you read down. China appeared on the map first, just rotate to USA, then zoom down on to the spot you need to edit. Right click on the spot. A box will appear where you type in what is wrong, and a place for your email address. Thats it. Hope this helps someone.

Unless you are the lead sled dog, the view never changes. I is retard... every day is Saturday! I still use the Garmin 3590 LMT even tho I upgraded to the Garmin 61 LMT. Bigger screen is not always better in my opinion.

Thanks

added that link to the Glossary and gave you credit

...

Thanks for the link!

Link

Thanks. I recall sometime ago it was a much more complicated task.

Definitely will use this link.

Thanks again

THANK YOU !!

I just used the link to report a long standing issue with the way roads in our private development are handled by Navteq. The Pennsylvania E-911 law requires every driveway in PA. longer than 300 feet to be named to make it easier for police, fire and emergency vehicles to locate. Navteq has built all these street names into their database. This is all well and good but also has a dark side.

My neighbor has a crescent shaped driveway with a street name that cuts a corner off the main development road. Every service man, delivery driver or anyone else with a Garmin, Magellan or Tom Tom GPS is routed down his one lane dirt driveway. For some reason, everyone just ignores the "PRIVATE DRIVEWAY" signs. Since I'm an officer in our development association, I get the complaining phone call from him, sometimes in the middle of the night!

Letters, emails and phone calls to Navteq have so far failed to correct the problem. My neighbor is on the verge of putting in a gate. Hopefully, this link will be our salvation! Thanks again!

All encompassing link for reporting of other navigation devices

This link is the landing link for reporting other GPS devices like Tom-Tom, and mobile apps:

http://www.gps.gov/support/user/mapfix/devices-and-maps/

I should have included this earlier, but did not think of it. This page explains that it may take months to verify it, and submit a map update.
