Extra POI Editor

In looking at a POI file with EPE, my map portion of EPE is now much smaller and won't open up to a larger window upon double-click. I can't see any change in my settings in the preferences menu. Can anyone help me?

The problem started with a change initiated by Google Maps and to my knowledge no solution was ever made available to fix EPE.
