I don't see how my GPSr
I don't see how my GPSr works inside where signal is blocked. Yet, my DirectTV (which is behind a tree) gets blocked whenever the wind blows
I didn't know that the MIO has a movie player. Do Nuvis have it? I wish I had it so when I am on the plane, I could watch it.

DSS - Tv needs a much stronger signal
As that signal carries much more information that needs to be processed by the receiver, and DSS/satellite TV requires the dish, which needs to be aligned to the satellite in order to receive the signal, and they are using different frequencies - the GPS signal can propagate through some obstructions that the DSS signal can't.
