But I haven't been there in years. Probably wouldn't recognize it, especially with the "new" Bay Bridge.

I hate...

Windows 7..

Wish we could stay with XP for a while longer but when my machine blew up the other day, I tried to reinstall XP which went like a charm but the Updates were bad.

It would not automatically update all the patches that I needed and was told by the web sites that the updates may not be found in the future and should d/l and save them for future use.

That's not good...

I do like some feature of Win 7 but a lot of my programs wont run in the env. I need to set up a XP Mode for them to work.. more disk space and slower now..

YUCK

Just my input...

Weekend

Beautiful day in the Midwest. Looking forward to the weekend after the long one last week.

Bobkz, I fought going to Windows 7 from XP for quite awhile. I finally deep sixed the old computer and built a modern one with Windows 7 with a solid state hard drive. It was like coming out of the horse and buggy era to a new sports car. I will never look back.
I love windows 7 compared to XP but don't think I will ever go to Windows 8.

We still have an old computer with XP in our guest room for anyone that wants to use it. It still functions fine but slow slow slow.

I just recovered my brothers 8 yr XP unit to a factory recovery partition. I had to manually download SP2 and then SP3. I did some updates in between that would allow me to. It is fully patched to what is available. Then I uninstalled the bloatware using Revo uninstaller.
