Active User or Active Member

Becoming an active member is completely free.

You automatically become an active member when you've made posts in at least 3 of the last 5 weeks. Activity includes uploading POI files and/or posting in the discussion forums.

The weekly posting periods run Monday through Sunday (Eastern timezone). Active member status is updated once each week (on Monday mornings).

If timing of your first post is lucky (Saturday or early Sunday), you can become an active user in just a little more than 2 weeks.

Then you get the Windmill

Man, I didn't know that about free access to redlight cameras. Guess I should have fixed my E mail problem sooner. LOL

Yup, The POI Factory rocks! I'm spreading the word to other truck drivers I meet. IMO the ones with any sense are using a real GPS and not a phone app.

I see that you've earned your windmill and can now access The Factory's redlight and speed cameras.

Keep in mind that if you cease activity at The Factory, you will lose your windmill. Just a heads up for you--it's better to keep a windmill than have to regain a windmill...and ditto for 2-star "general maintainer" status.

significance of the Windmill?

Hog wash. I loose my windmill quite often through out the year going on vacation. Doesn't make any difference. Loosing the stars if you have them just means you gotta do a bit of work.
"Stars have free access to the enforcement camera files. So once you’re well established on the site, you can be away for a longer period of time and still keep the same privileges as an active user." In other words The windmill means nothing to me or you as far as extra privs are concerned.
