Funeral of Daughter-in-law's brother tomorrow.
Busy week, our son, his wife, and their 4 children, ages 10, 8, 6, 3, are staying with us this week for the funeral. A very busy week.

Well needed rain Tuesday in the NE ...

Despite reports of unfortunate flooding in other parts of the country we here in the NE have been experiencing near drought (since that record breaking wet spell in June). Just enough to keep lawns green, beneath the surface however, species like native birch are suffering. Many of the local wood's streams are just wet enough to keep just the mosquitoes happy. If you're headed this way be sure to pack some bug repellant. wink

Short summer

Spring was awful due to the wet season so the sweet corn planting was delayed by several weeks.
The corn finally arrived but lacked the sweetness of past years. Had some tonight and to my tastes the season is over.
Maybe next year.

Hello,

I'm new here, but this forum helped me with my new GPS when I couldn't figure out why my PC wasn't detecting it. Turns out it was in MTP mode, I would have never guessed and thought my product defective without you guys! Thought I'd join and maybe pay it forward one of these days smile
