How big is this map update???

So I just purchased a nuvi 2597 and I am downloading the maps now. I have a 11 Mbps connection, and it says it's going to take an hour!!!???

How big are the maps now? The last unit I had (855T) didn't take nearly this long to update!

1,957,248 KB is what mine shows for the 2014.10 map.

And that's the compiled .img file that gets installed on your Nuvi. I think the download is actually larger than that. In any event, for an 11MBPS connection, an hour isn't really all that bad. My connection is 15MBPS and the download normally will take the better part of an hour.
