Reinstalling OS, Garmin software won't load - FYI

Well it happened. I was rebuilding my daily driver, and when it came time to install my old Garmin software, I would get the error "This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this program." After much Internet search, I found the solution. In short, a new OS install doesn't contain the C++ runtimes that Garmin software requires.

Nor have I

But since I have 3 units running regularly at my house I coined it. (the other 2: Web server [web site, GPX Clean, FTP, etc.] and my file server) Don't sit in front of the other 2 every day. cool
