.

Double (triple) check that the songs are actually MP3 format and not some other file format (such as AAC, WMA, etc).

When you say...

When you say you can't get mp3's going, what are the steps that you have gone through in trying to do so?

For example, you might say that you went to Tools > Media Player > browse or whatever (and nothing happened)

Knowing what you have done will help us find a solution (assuming you actually have .mp3 files as MM has asked you to triple check.

Check

Tools>Media Player
Tap: Source
Tap: Browse
Tap: Play All

Good work. I never tried my 750 with mp3 files but gave it a check to offer more help to fuse cutout. (Wow, I had forgotten how big a full-sized SD card is.) Your method is correct for files on SD cards.

Without tapping the Source button to switch to the SD card, the nuvi (at least my 750) looks to the nuvi's internal Audible folder.

When in the nuvi 750 Media Player, if you see "Welcome to Audible!" in the playlist, you need to tap Source to switch to the SD card to see the mp3 files.

PS--Welcome to The Factory, fuse cutout.

Good function

I used this a lot with my Nuvi 650 and piped it into my AUX jack on the car stereo. Now my iPhone replaces that but it suited the job.
