BT Phone Pairing Issue

The last few days, when I have turned on my 660, it pairs with the phone and the phone icon immediately shows up on the map screen and it looks as if a call is being placed (even though I have not initiated a call). If I hit the icon, the phone screen is pulled up and the "End Call" button is displayed but no call information is displayed (normally when you place a call, you see the phone number dialed on that screen).

Has anyone else seen this happen? I am pairing it to a Samsung Blackjack (not on the "supported" list at Garmin, but the basic BT handsfree part works).

not exactly but....

on a recent trip two or three times the following happened.

First off, my phone and my wife's phone are listed in the gpsr. I have mine as the one that's connected. We drive on our trip. Stop for gas, I stay with car, and bluetooth connection is not dropped, wife goes in to pay for drink, gas, use restroom etc... when she gets back to the car - her phone rings...it's from my phone number, and I never touched my phone or gpsr.

Possessed?

Maybe our units are being possessed by Harald Bluetooth, a king of Denmark in the mid-tenth century (somehow, that is how BT got it's name).

Dang Vikings

Maybe it's a ploy by Ericsson. LoL

Old Harald Bluetooth united Denmark and Norway, Bluetooth of today will unite the worlds of computers and telecom (hopefully longer than the few years Harald's Viking kingdom survived). In 1994 Ericsson Mobile Communications initiated a study to investigate the feasibility of a low-power low-cost radio interface between mobile phones and their accessories. In Feb 1998, five companies Ericsson, Nokia, IBM, Toshiba and Intel formed a Special Interest Group (SIG).
