Garmin repairs. What do I do?

I have a Garmin nüvi 1450LMT that I have had for just over a yr. Figures that it is having issues now. When I plug it in and turn it on in the truck, it looks like it thinks it is plugged into a power outlet for updating the maps. If it goes into navigation mode, it continuously recycles..
What can I do?

You can ask Garmin about their "Out of Warranty" program and see if you are eligible.
A couple of suggestions
Before sending it in for repair I would try the following.
1- See if you can borrow someone's car power cable to see if it's the unit that's faulty and not the cord.
2- Go to webupdater and update the software and do so even if you have the most recent version.
3- Do a hard reset.

More Specifics Needed
If it goes into navigation mode, it continuously recycles.
Can you please offer more details.
Are you saying it recycles when on battery power?
Please advise exactly what screen you are at when the Nuvi recyles.

Go to link below, select your device, and check FAQ section first. There may be solution to your problem. If this doesn't help you can get RMA number and send GPS for repair. If Garmin rules are like before it is usually fixed amount of money for repair. If you get replacement, than remember to call them to transfer your subscriptions (like Lifetime Maps) to new device.
