The 34xx/35xx units now allow you to choose between traffic providers, assuming you have more than one installed on your traffic receiver. Previously, only EU (maybe AU as well as other non-US) models allowed this or it could alternately be forced by changing the unit's locale (after a hard reset) on your unit to EU. Now the US locale finally gets this option.
As mentioned, you need to have more than one traffic subscription on your GTM traffic unit. I have both Navteq & Clear Channel subscriptions on mine and can choose between:
Auto Select
Navteq
Clear Channel
