Garmin Customer Service is A1

While on a trip last week, the suction cup mount came free, and the whole setup hit the dash. Unbeknown to me, the plastic clip (socket) that holds the ball had one of the four tangs break off. This part at most would cost a nickel and could be replaced by removing the single Phillips head screw.

I call Garmin customer service on Tuesday, they said they would have to send the whole part, not just the plastic piece. Well UPS came today, not only did they replace the whole socket unit, they sent the whole suction cup assembly. Disk, suction cup (ball end) and mount (socket end).

That is why you spend a few extra dollars for a Garmin!!!

Oh yea, the Nuvi got me around Seattle, flawlessly and the max speed on there is now 544 MPH. Let me see a cop clock me at that speed.

I am a new Garmin C340 user

I am a new Garmin C340 user and the suction cup almost failed on me today morning. Luckily it was not in as bad shape as you mention smile

Dittos to A1 Customer Service

When I upgraded from A Nuvi 350 to 660, I passed the 350 on to my sister. All it took was a phone call to transfer registration from me to her. They were very good about it.

I found .....

I found that the TECH is great and alsway will talk to them.. However, the sales folks coud use some tune up. You find more info in general wit the tech than sales. I guess that would make sence while I am typing this but you would think both would give same info example is getting the DVD, If you talk to sales, they want you to pay for it, If you talk to tech, they ship it free.. go figure!

Sales People work on commission. Tech folk are straight salary generally speaking.
