C530 POI transfert

Do you mean Custom POIs placed on the C530 or Favorites saved by the C530?

Favorites enter by myself, location we went that I saved

Connect the C530 to your computer, locate the file Current.GPX on that unit and copy it to the computer's desktop.

Rename the file to temp.gpx

Connect the new unit to the computer and copy temp.GPX to the GPX folder. When the new unit is powered on, it will read the temp file and add the locations to the favorites already there. Delete the temp file after reading them in.

I have a c340, and it is not possible to do this. I'm guessing the 530, also a streetpilot, would be similar? Or is the c5xx series more similar to the nuvis in that they appear as a drive when attached to a pc?

Exactly like Shrifty said, I don't have .GPX or .CSV files in my C530

Only documents/files with those extension????

To connect your c530 to your pc, open up mapsource or basecamp. Transfer your favorites to mapsource or base camp, then connect other gps and transfer the favorites.

current.gpx should be buried under the Garmin/GPX folder.

And yes, the C5XX series actually works quite similarly to the Nuvis of the same timeframe.

Those two units work differently.
