Screen protectors for the Nuvi 600 series???

Hi All,

I have a Nuvi 670 and would like to know if there are there any "brick & mortar" stores who sell "screen protectors". I've done searches on the 'net and although there are an abundance of places they can be purchased online, I'd just like to walk into a store and buy them over the counter.

Thanks for your time.

Regards,

Ones for Any PDA will work

As long as they're big enough...you'll have to find ones bigger than the Nuvi & trim to fit.

I just get PDA protectors

I just get PDA protectors and cut to fit. its j ust a square (rectangle) so its so easy.

Re: Screen protectors for the Nuvi 600 series???

Hi Keith,

What I'm looking for are 8.5x11 sheets, so I can customize them for an assortment of items, I want to protect.

Do they come in that size?

I've never shopped for 8.5x11 sheets

I've bought them sized for the screen I was prortecting... http://www.nushield.com/ has quite a selection - designed to fit a variety of devices.

I agree, most of the ones

I agree, most of the ones I've seen are no bigger than 6x6 or so. Easily cut to fit.. but most applications leave you with just scraps left over so next time you need a new sheet. This is probably done on purpose to require people to buy more sheets over time.

Screen Protectors

I use the Write Right brand of screen protector. They are made in several sizes for PDAs and digital cameras but if you get an over-size one you can trim it to fit. You should be able to find them in office supply stores like Staples.

For large sheets check at the office supply for a product called See Thru. It is a transparent adhesive film that is designed for covering documents and books but makes a passible screen protector. I bought some at Office Depot.

Screen protector feedback...

Just want to say thanks to KCH50428, davegoss47, akirby37 and livnaway for your help and advice...

I would skip screen protector. By the time your screen worn out, so did the technology.

Hi All,

I wound up buying the screen protectors, online, from boxwave.com

I bought the Clear Touch - Anti-Glare screen protectors from Boxwave. They're custom fit for the Garmin Nuvi 6xx series and for me, the big selling point was, they're washable and reusable.

Disclaimer: I have no affliation whatsoever with Boxwave. I'm just one satisfied customer.

Screen Protectors for tne Nuvi 600 Series???

Tailspin, I would assume it would be in my best interest to remove the GPS unit from the screen protector before placing it in the family Maytag?

Agree. Unless your fingers are made of sand paper there is no need for screen protector. I had it on my Magellan and it was a pain to get the air bubbles out.

Ahhhh Finally.......

Someone with a sense of humor LOL!!!

Take care Tailspin, and are those eye balls on top of your head in your photo?

Re: Ahhhh Finally.......

Hi Ray,

That, my friend, is a garlic wreath and I've gotta tell ya, I haven't seen one vampire, since I started wearing it (big grin).

I went to the Gilroy Garlic Festival (in Gilroy, California) this weekend. When I got there I started looking around for God, because I knew I'd just entered heaven...

P.S. I think you might have operpaid the IRS, considering what the government pays for hammers and toilet seats these days...!!!
