Need help with Extra POI Editor

I had EPE on my desktop. Today I opened it up, but could not make any changes to my files. I kept getting a "DING" noise when I clicked on "New poi" or even an entry I had already saved. As anyone else experianced this?

Samething happened to me

I tried to go back into my choicehotels file. The screen would come up with all the listings, but I could not click on it (got a DING noise) to make any changes.

It would help if you told people some very basic information such as the operating system you are using, the version of EPE and if you used the installer.

Try this

Go to

http://turboccc.wikispaces.com/space/showimage/Extra_POI_Edi...

and download this zip file. Unzip it and then run version 5.3.2 from the folder into which you unziped it.

If this does not solve your problem, then - as Box Car - indicates, let us know
PC or Mac
Operating system
Version of EPE.

It is much easier for us to respond when we have some details.

operating system

PC
VS.30
Windows 7

Did you try..

Did you try the download of EPE 5.3.2?

You need

You need to have administrator privileges when you do the install and it should be for all users. You may also need to set the properties to "run as administrator."

Ding!

If you get a Ding, it is probably because there is a dialog window open somewhere that you need to answer. Did you switch from a 4.xx version to 5.xx?

In any cases, open a command (cmd) DOS box in the same folder as EPE and type:

extra_poi_editor -reset

That should fix the issue. Once you do that, you will have to set the Preferences again because this command wipes the configuration.
