I have a TomTom XXL and am planning a trip for when the kids are on spring break. I am not sure how many stops/waypoints I want to add yet. Just wondering what the max is. I didn't see anything in the manuel.

A quick Google search seems to indicate that an itinerary can have a maximum of 48 waypoints and destinations.

That value of 48 waypoints agrees with the information that I have for my XXL540, although I have never come anywhere near to using that many on a single itinerary myself.
As a comment, if 48 waypoints is not sufficient for some reason, there is an easy work-around to add more. Just break up your trip into multiple segments, with a separate itinerary for each segment. Make the end of one segment the beginning of another segment. It will take only a couple of taps to switch from one itinerary to the next, and with another 48 waypoints available, you should have a long interval before you need to switch to the next itinerary in the sequence.
