Hyundai On Board Navigation System Updates

I'm buying a slightly used Hyundai Sonata with on-board navigation. I was curious if there's a way to update the maps or software without paying a large fee to the Hyundai Service Department. I'm especially interested in adding red light camera and speed camera poi's. Anyone with information on these systems (e.g. a removable chip, etc.) (I suspect that several car brand's navigators are internally alike) would be greatly appreciated.
i don't know of any
auto manufacturer units that allow custom POI. I feel you're out of luck on adding the red light cameras to that unit. As far as map and POI updates (the built-in ones) try Flea-Bay or ask the dealer for last year's update. They are often at quite a discount as they do nothing but take up space on the shelf and have to be written off at some point.
