I park like an *ss

First the disclaimers:
- while the subject is not exactly about GPS, it does concern driving,
- I do not have any contact with nor do I know the author of the attached link.

I'm sure all of us at one time or another has come accross stupid parking, illegal parking, the list goes on. Even when we encounter this situation, legally there is little we can do. So this person in Edmonton decided to take pictures of people who park stupidly and post them on the internet. Likely there are other sites, but I'm posting this one because I like the humourous aspect. Funny, I have carried a digital camera in my car for a couple of years but I had not previously thought of snapping the "parking *sses but now I might, bearing in mind that I could (very occasionally...) be guilty of stupid parking.

Ya' know...

I have what I think is an expensive car, well, to some people it is not. It cost $58,000 new in 2008, quite enough for me. Now I am not condoning parking as in the pictures, I just park far enough away from the inconsiderate bastards that open their doors and hit yours. Usually, they are 2 door cars, older model street yachts, in miserable shape. I have rubber bumpers on my doors so I cannot be accused of causing a "ding"

Yes, I'd love to park like that but I'm afraid some "goober" would key my car.

Peeved in California...

Doesn't matter how much you pay for a car, if someone parks like those in the link, then they become the inconsiderate basXXrds and a good chance they have ticked off Goober. (I don't condone violence, but then I'm not responsible for Goober and his keys.)

It appears in your statement above, that you do the right thing, by parking to protect your stuff and hoofing a little thus saving yourself an encounter with goober and his anger.

I try and park out in what I call the south forty, but that doesn't seem to do any good most of the time. I'll come back to the car and there will be a car parked on each side of me with 10 or 15 empty stalls on each side of them. It's whats known as the herd instinct. It doesn't help that to save a few dollars the manufactures don't put side moldings on most cars nowadays.

Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.

Intentional parking

I can pretty much guarantee they parked there just to tick you off. The ones I do not like are the ones that try and take two spots just so that nobody can park near them. Or the downright lazy's ones that will park in the handicap or the "walking/loading" are that is between some handicap parking spots. I actually followed on fellow around a grocery store, in a loud voice not yelling, look at the pregnant man. All the way until he got into his car. This store had 4 spots reserved for pregnant women, he used the last one, and my wife who was 8 months at the time could not use it.

Roofing tacks work great on some of these idiots. Just do not get caught, and though I have thought about it I have not done this to anyone.
