3790T and Mapsource

Has anyone had any luck getting Mapsource to work with the 3790?
I heard that it was not compatible.

‹ Any new update for the favorite icon (bug black dot instead) on current firmware? Anyone good at using TSS voice editor for 660 Nuvi? ›

The 3790

The 3790 will accept waypoints from Mapsource but you can not transfer a route created in Mapsource or Basecamp to the 37xx series Nuvi's.

Garmin initially promised to fix this in the first quarter 2011 but it never happened.

I think this is a low priority for Garmin.

They are good with the fix but will take them little time.

No one

No one would be happier than I if that were so but Garmin has taken the reference to fixing this issue off of their website and the 39xx series is now listed as a Previous model, one step from Discontinued so don't hold your breath.

I got my 3790 on June 29, 2010 and was told by Garmin that day that the fix would be in the 1st quarter of 2011. They have officially had enough time to fix this issue if they were ever planning on doing it.

I agree, and if they would fix a few of the other small problems too. There's nothing major wrong with the GPS but they do have some small isues. This is not good for the Garmin name, head in the sand is not good marketing.
