Is Lane Assist in the same file as Junction View? I like LA but could forget about JV and 3d buildings. With the size of JV changing is it affecting LA?

LA vs JV
Lane Assists (LA) are the arrows that show up on the top left corner. Junction Views (JCV) are the pictures of highway junctions that show up, typically when you have to exit or merge onto a different highway. The Lane Assists are built into the map files, while JCV is a separate directory on your Nuvi.
So the size change in the JCV does not affect the Lane Assists.
Disable JV
Panache, I'm with you. I really like LA but can't stand JV. I disable my JV by changing the JV file extension. That way it never pops up and causes a distraction for me.
The last map update included a large increase in LA coverage so I was very happy to see that.

Gary, I'd just like to point out to anyone unsure about this, for the user to get where the first of your links illustrates, requires the user to open their system "Control Panel" and then open "Folder Options" first. After choosing the Tool/View tab the window will look as it does in the link.

I took a different route to get where I wanted to see the JV file. I got all the screens that Gary used for his example. But,it worked that was all I wanted.
Thanks Gary
