It is interesting, my thoughts are, there will always be something better just round the corner, I buy for what I need now. Brought a new TV for $1500 about 12 months ago, same TV today cost $899, do you think I should have waited?

If you wait for technology, you'd never buy anything. Consumers are always behind the eight ball.
But yesterday some one said:
Personally, I'm holding out for the 8000 series...
I'm waiting for 7G to come out to get a phone
Better hope it comes put with 128 GB of internal storage, with all the junk that one will have. Just look at the 4g, nah never mind...i hate phones anyways.
Seems to always ring when it's most inconvenient.

Good news is they still move forward with upgrades. Sure there are some bugs from time to time and some ideas that never pan out but technology still moves forward. Anyone want to go back to a 15k dial up modem? How long would map updates take with that?
Lots of the same old myths about smartphone navigation:
1. Expensive Apps needed Wrong. Google Nav and Telenav are free, Co-pilot is $5 and all of them offer turn-by-turn directions.
2. Expensive data plans required. Wrong. Boost and other cell providers offer free data plans. It doesn't cost me a single penny more to use my droid as my primary GPs than if I was just using it to talk on.

Your post has nothing to do with the original post other than smartphones are improving which you failed to mention. Just post your "myths" which do not apply to all phones.

I agree with ORnonprophet. Lots of misleading or the lack of correct information in that movie clip. I hate when so called experts get the info wrong. And what's wrong with pointing that out?

I have noscript. Not sure why it didn't work. Grrr!
Edit - I have 2.1.1.1, and when I checked Options, the Flash option was unchecked. It was not that way on previous versions.
