Contributors of the week 2006-11-27

This week, we are recognizing RobinH and Raybonz with honorable mentions for Robert F. Breuning and Glenn Cahn.

RobinH has been very active in the forums. He joined our group only a few days ago, but he has proven to be a source of inspiration and positive energy. Raybonz was very helpful and jumped right in to help field questions so that JM could focus on site improvements. It is nice to see the forums so active.

RFB and Glenn Cahn have been making fine contributions to the poi file area and discussions.

Great job everyone!!!!

recognition

Thanx for the recognition Maryann it's a pleasure to help where possible but it's no where near as much and you and Jon do here.. I would like to do more but with work and home it's a tough juggling act for sure. The next 3 days I'll be travelling to Brookline a suburb of Boston so I'll be on the road about 3 hrs. a day. I sure could use a clone!! I'm pretty amazed how Robin has just jumped in around here that's for sure!

Take Care,
Ray

Hey Ray,

If you have a chance, tell me how some of my POI's work in the Boston area. I'd like to think that I found all the errors and typos, but that's probably not the case.

Hey Glenn,
I will be on the outskirts of Boston not in the city but I will see if you have any typos..

thank you

Your kind words mean a lot to me. I did a good job of covering up my feelings this weekend as we had a family crisis here. Josie, our 11 year old Canaan Dog, was diagnosed Friday with an extremely aggressive neurological disorder from which there was no recovery, and she had to be put down this morning. So basically we had a weepy family weekend saying goodbye to a dearly loved friend.

Now I've got to pull myself together to go to Atlanta for a business trip in the morning, then on to Dallas through the rest of the week and weekend. Sux, bad timing, but as they say in showbiz, "the show must go on".

Anyway, thank you for you kind words, I really do appreciate them. If you want to see who Josie was, and what a Canaan dog looks like, you can go view my photo album tribute to Josie on my home page at http://www.hugginsnet.com/index.php?option=com_expose&Itemid...

It requires no login, simply click on the photo Album "A Tribute to Josie". You can scroll through, click on individual photos, or use the slide show feature.

I'm sure she's doing much better now that she's in Doggy Heaven.

If you are interested in this breed, you can google Canaan Dog and will find an extremely intelligent breed that's only been domesticated since around 1968. It was a feral breed out of Isreal, hence the name Canaan. Overseas they are used as guide dogs, search and rescue dogs, and police dogs. The standard for the breed covers many colors and coats, and the type that Josie falls under looks like a white wolf.

I am so sorry for your loss,

I am so sorry for your loss, it sounds like Josie was a very important part of your family, it is amazing how our pets can affect us and make our lives so much more meaningful. Our thoughts are with you and your family.

thanks

thanks for the kind remarks. Not sure if it's irony, coincidence or divine intervention but three weeks ago we were approached by a min-pin breeder asking if we wanted to adopt one. We had planned on going to Charleston, SC, the end of next week to pick up a new puppy. Glad we have that planned, as to get my daughters' minds off of Josie I think this will help tremendously.
