A fresh start to a new week.

Let's start this week off on a good foot.

It is important to respect the rights of others to discuss the technology that they love without having other members attack them or debate them into the ground.

We started the smart phone forums so that all of us could enjoy discussing the equipment that helps us get around.

I know that some of us are more partial to our own devices. I would like to see more respect shown in the forums. Last week really sucked around here.

If you don't want to read about smart phones, stay out of the smart phone forum areas. They are clearly marked.

I will be sending out warnings to some of the users that posted so much negativity and personal bashing last week. That type of behavior is not acceptable here.

Please review the forum rules if you don't know what they are: http://www.poi-factory.com/node/28855

Good Morning POI Factory

It rained all night here, between Fresno and Yosemite in California and is still cloudy, but it looks like it is going to be a great week.

Golf

A two-foot putt counts the same as a two-foot drive.

Never wash your ball on the tee of a water hole.

There is no such thing as a friendly wager.

The stages of golf are Sudden Collapse, Radical Change, Complete Frustration, Slow Improvement, Brief Mastery, and Sudden Collapse.

The only sure way to get a par is to leave a four-foot birdie putt two inches short of the hole.

Remember the Sacrifices of D-Day

If not for all those that sacrificed their lives on D-Day we would not enjoy the freedoms we have today. This is not a perfect Country and there are things that could be better, but, overall there is no greater place to live than the United States of America!

God Bless all those who serve and have served to protect our freedoms!!

New Week

Summer is rolling into focus. Everyone have a good week!!!

Remember D-Day, June 6, 1944. The D-Day Memorial was built in Bedford, Va to pay tribute to those brave Americans who were there that day on the Normandy Beach.

June 6

It took guts to storm those beaches against German machine guns. Most of them were kids entering battle for the first time, and a lot of them died very young. That generation and the Civil War generation sacrificed the most for our country.

My uncle was there, survived it and is still alive. He said that men were falling all around him, that it was unreal.

He swore that if he made it through it alive that he would always observe it as a holiday and never work on that day for the rest of his life.

So far he has kept that promise.

So many brave men sacrificed their lives so that so many are now able to take their freedom for granted.

Vietnam and the other wars were no picnic either. War sucks.

...to the greatest generation. These guys (and gals) did so much to maintain and preserve the freedom and liberty that we have today. Thanks to all those proud vets. We are quickly losing these vets, so if you know one, tell them "thanks". They will appreciate it.
