Zumo series mounting options

I'm curious to find out where people have mounted their Zumos (motorcylce mount, that is).
Obviously the kit comes with the generic handlebar mount, and comes with the shift lever conector. Being next to the left hand seems convenient for accessing menus, but mounting towards the center of the handlebar seems like it could keep your eyes on the road more by not having to look as far...
Any advice?

I have mine mounted in the center of my handlebars. Center made the most sense for me. It's still easy to reach there.
But check out the Zumo forum. There's a whole subforum on installation. And there are several other threads showing the Zumo mounted on different bikes.
