Traffic Option on the Nuvi 295w

On the Garmin Nuvi 295w, if you go to Settings/Navigation/Automobile/Avoidances and click "On" there are several options you can "avoid." One of those options is "Traffic." What does this mean for the 295w?

Traffic

The 295 does not support a traffic receiver.I was told some time back by Garmin.If you don't have a receiver.Checking the avoidance for traffic doesn't do anything.
