Audio Books - Revisited

Last post on this topic was in 2008 so I thought I'd share my recent experiences. Since I have a long commute and frequently make long weekend trips, I thought I'd give audio books a try. I found that my Garmin (755t) only supports AA audio books but most of the free downloads are either mp3 or m4b format. Garmin will play mp3, but I found that "play all" ended up skippng between my music files and books. Very frustrating. I then found that after I download and unzip an audio book, I can select all the individual mp3 files for the book (or music collection)and (right click) open the properties for the group of files selected. I then give the group a unique "Genre" name, e.g, "Book - Tale of 2 Cities". Sorting by genre, I can pick the book or music collection I want and "play all" for that book/music collection. I recently bought a 4G SDHC card so now have several books and music collections each in a separate folder, each with a unique "genre" name. It's been working great and I found a lot of free public domain audio books at http://librivox.org/.
