Adding aviation charts to Garmin nuvi

The FAA now publishes free aviation charts, in raster format. How can I prepare these in a format for Mapsource to import to a nuvi?

I realize that Garmin makes the aera series for aviation and I understand the standard caveats about aviation gps.
I've successfully gotten marine charts to work on the nuvi, albeit with less detail then they would show on a marine GPS, so I'm hoping there is a way to take standard map data and importing it.

You might want to document your importing of marine cards on your Nüvi as well ? Sometimes my Landrover has so much water under the belly, you could actually think you're navigating a river...
