Yes, the POIs here will work with your GPS. Note that if you want audio alerts as well, you'll need to use wav files (with sox.exe) since your GPS will not play mp3 files.

PS--a new map has just come out. If your nuvi is quite new, you're probably entitled to a free map upgrade to City Navigator North America NT version 2011.30. This also gives you the option of installing the map and Mapsource software to your computer as well as updating your GPS unit. Check here for some details:

Silly me. With a LMT, you need not worry about your potential "free" map update. But if you haven't updated the map that came with your unit in the past few days, the new map version 2011.30, one of your up-to-four-updates-per-year, is ready to be installed. And if this is your first map update, it'll be the chance to install Mapsource and the new map on your computer as well.
If you're new to Garmin GPSes, this is the time to back up all the file from your GPS to your computer, too!
