location and elevation off

I've had my Nuvi 350 for a couple of weeks now. Today, it is acting a wacky. On my way to work, it consistently showed my driving on the next road over. It also showed my altitude as -90 ft and it should be around 1100 ft. I cycled the power several times and it was better, but still off.

I called Garmin tech support and they had me reset it but it still wasn't accurate. They had me email them a satellite screenshot and I'm waiting to hear back. It shows 17 ft accuracy but that's not correct.

I've tried it with WAAS both on and off. Doesn't seem to matter. I'm getting elevations anywhere from -900 to 850. Currently it is showing my 2 blocks from work.

Anyone have any ideas on what is going on or see this happen?

Same problem this morning

Estes,
Yes, I had a similar problem with my nuvi 680 this morning--I had good accuracy as well. Thought it might have been due to an update to my software last night, but I just let the unit sit stationary for about 45 minutes and "cook" for a while with no resets required. After that, it was spot-on.

Solar flares. Seriously.
