Wanting to get one of these, but I heard that you can't have the POI red light camera. Is this true? I want to know before I purchase one.

Maestro 4700 doesn't either
I checked with magellan and the 4700 doesn't offer that option. Most other categories are covered but red light cameras would seem to be a good option for them to allow.

there is another discussion thread on POIs for the 4700 which looks promising. Perhaps their solution will work for the 1700 also. I will be monitoring that thread to see where it goes. I bought a 1700 before I found out that I could not get the redlight POIs on it. I like its size and features and incidentally the foam rubber sleeve it comes in fits a 6" Kindle perfectly.
