Great news!

All the Chilean miners got out after 70 days. All healthy (as can be expected) as well.

Blessings to them, and their families!

I wonder about the guy that had a wife and mistress waiting for him to come out... apparently he decided not to stay in... smile

Mine Rescue

It's so great to hear such wonderful news. It is also amazing that 33 men could survive so long in such a scary, miserable environment.

What did the cheating miner say to his wife upon exiting the mine? “Don’t know why you are so upset, I haven’t been with her in over two months”

Amazing story

Pretty amazing - from what I hear there were quite a few American people and tools on site helping get them out!!!

Great story!

Love.It!

You just can't expect everything that will come from everyone. I love it.

Compensated?

From a few news reports over the past couple of days, sounds like they might not have to work (mine) anymore. Supposedly they are getting all kinds of monetary offers from talk shows, book and movie rights as well as compensation from the mining company. I say good for them and welcome back!

OK.....so where the heck am I?

It's great everyone was rescued...

10 years of separation

He was separated from his wife for 10 years. I'd call the other woman his girlfriend. It's just the sensationalizing news media that gave her the mistress tag.

Indeed

It wasn't as big a deal as it was made out to be.

Did anyone else think he

Did anyone else think he looked a bit shell-shocked when he came up? Was trying to figure out if that was just natural or he didn't expect the girlfriend to be there.

.

If I were him, I'd fall to my knees and give thanks I was able to get out alive!

Shell shocked? Damn straight! You would be too I'd think. The media, world attention, El Presidente, and your family. Not to mention paramedics, and the rest of the circus.

Oy!

Was an awesome rescue

Must have been a tough experience to be that far under the Earth for so long. Awesome that everyone got out alive.

See what can happen if you

See what can happen if you don't have a government like we have right now. Things get done with out government intervention and OSHA...

Definately great news!

Great to hear that they all got out safe. Hopefully they will be able to adjust back to a normal life after this experience.

For someone with

For someone with claustophobia, this is a great news, I havebeen feeling uncomfortable and uneasy since I heard of the news.

About the miners and family, I hope the media don't dump them too quickly in favour of newer and more sensational subjects.
