Wacky weather!

Weird weather here but Fall has arrived!
Have a great week!

Beautiful day here

Went to the Apple Orchards in Gays Mills, WI yesterday and normally the leaves are great on this weekend but there was no color at all this year. Today was a good day to clean the garage and wonder what our daughter was up to on a business trip to Paris. Hope she watches her step.

Hello Everybody

Hello everybody, safe week to all!

Fall in the Desert

The temperatures in the Palm Desert area are finally starting to cool down. The evenings are now comfortable and looking forward to the golf courses reopening in three weeks.

cooler nights

here in the high Arizona desert, but still hanging around the century mark in mid-afternoon........... all the US golf superstars could do was capture the silver medal at this past weeks' Ryder Cup matches in Europe ... maybe better luck in 2012.

Safe and pleasant week ahead to all!

Best RV

So chit chat is good but how about a question. I'm looking for a good B Class RV so what is the best unit out there? What is the best gas mileage? Any good features? A Class is too big and the the gas mileage is awful so a van conversion or C class seems perfect for two. So anyone have their perfect RV? I will have a GPS in that unit so this isn't off topic too much.

Got to love

Got to love this:

http://www.reghardware.com/2010/10/05/satnav_error_man_drown...

A Senegalese man drove by mistake into a Spanish reservoir on Saturday evening - and drowned. His passenger survived.

Local authorities say the 37 year-old followed directions from his GPS on to an old unlit road that submerged into La Serena reservoir in Western Spain.

By the time he realised his satnav error it was too late to brake. Both men escaped from the car - which sank in two minutes - but only one swam to shore.

La Serena Spain's biggest reservoir, was built in 1989 - so the old road really should have been excised from GPS route planners.

Good rain

We had a good rain storm last night in Phoenix. We really needed it. Now if only, Tempe was ready to fill up the lake....

Same here in Tampa... earlier than normal cool-down. It was in the 60's when I walked this morning about 6AM. Going on Noon and it's only 73 with 50% humidity. Nice! Gives my a/c a rest.

searching and searching... hook me up with link POI vs waypoit

?? kenwood dnx 9140 / garmin

i downloaded a poi file, and and icon an a sound (.csv .BMP & .jpg) put them all in one folder and used garmin poi loader to transfer via usb to my kenwood dnx9120. I can find the poi s in (where to?-> extras-> custom poi s) and select them as a destination and it will guide me there but i never see the icon or hear the sound all i see is the checkered flag and the normal pre-loaded map stuff. The POIs I loaded were railroad crossing in Illinois with a train sound and icon. I was hoping that while just driving they would appear on the map and anytime you approached one you would see the icon on the map and hear the sound.. is that possible? how do you get these on the map and trigger the sound? even a link to a thread explaining this would be great.. THANKS my 3year old loves trains!!
