Questions about XXL 540 M

I'm a TomTom guy who just found out the hard way that the unites sometimes don't react well to being dropped. Anyway I may be in the market for a new unit and I was wondering if anyone is familiar with this unit. 2 features of my current unit that I really want on a new unit are Itinerary planning and the ability to set warnings prior to reaching points of interest. Does this unit have those capabilities? My father recently bought a new TomTom unit (I can't remember the model for the life of me) and while loaded POIs would display on the map I couldn't find any way to get it to warn in advance of a POI. When you're my age yo need to know when those Rest Areas are coming up.

TomTOM XXL540M Capabilities
I've had my TomTom XXL540TM unit for a few weeks so am still getting fully acquainted with it. I checked the unit and it does have Itinerary Planning capability and the ability to set POI warnings. I haven't used Itinerary Planning yet, but have set several POI warning, They work fine. The only problem I am experiencing now is the ability to download Safety Cameras. TomTom acknowledges that there is a problem downloading the Safety Cameras with the map that comes with this unit. Supposedly, they are working to resolve.

$119.95 sounds like a very good deal. I bought the XXL540TM about a month ago for $178.00 and figured I got a good deal.
I'd Say Definitely A Good Deal
...especially with lifetime maps. I spend about that much in two years updating the map on my GO930.
