Buddylist

The "My buddylist" feature makes it easy to keep track of a list of users. When you're logged in, you can quickly navigate to their user profiles and see their recent posts.

It's a simple feature that will make it a little easier to work together on the site.

ha! that is sorta neat, I

ha! that is sorta neat, I like it. I can never remember which thread I was talking about something in, but I remember the user. So this will be a big help.

One thing I don't get though, is there a way for me to see posts of just one person. In other words, when I click 'recent posts', it shows all my buddies expanded. So I have to colapse the users first in order to pick just one.

The easiest way to see posts for one person is to goto their user profile by clicking their user name, then click the track tab.

Recent Posts

There probably is already, I just haven't found it.

Is there a way to view 'Recent Posts' of only the forum posts not having to scroll through all of the new POIs that were recently uploaded?

You two amaze me. Fantastic job!!

no filter options available

For the track tab and buddylist recent posts, there aren't any filter options. They show all types of posts (forum, poi files, etc.)

As a side note -- these parts of the site are built using 3rd party program code, so it's not an easy change.

Email availbility

Great idea. Will we be able to email each other in future, without going outside this website?
The reason I ask, the ongoing Olive Garden list has caused me to email several times. Would be great not have to go outside to do it.
But, be as it may, this is one great site. Not only having fun, meeting and talking to nice new people, I'm learning things I thought I would never know.

Keep up the good work.

contact tab

We have an opt-in policy for email from other users. It's up to each user to decide if they want to enable the contact tab on their user profile, which let's other users send them an email from the site.

In the future, I'm looking at adding a message system that will let users exchange private messages on the site. This will provide an alternative for those who do not want to share their email address when replying to a message.

JM

yeah, that would be very

yeah, that would be very nice to have!

This is a great addition. I'm already using it. You guys are great.

Thanks JM

Appreciate it. This will be a good thing.

great feature - thanks

Wonderful new feature. After I have responded to 3 or 4 different topics, and read many others, I don't always remember which ones to go back to for any follow-ups. With this feature, I can track myself!

Congratulations...95% of the population would spell "bated" wrong in a formal document, let alone a web forum.

Miss POI and JM you've done it again, you've made the
FACTORY an even nicer place to come to work! smile

To Motorcycle Mama and capst:

Some wait with bated breath while others wait with baited hook...there's no debate, I prefer doing both all at once simultaneously at the same time! wink
