nüvi 1450 Reliability?

In monitoring and searches of this forum I see a fair number of people using the nüvi 1450 and most seem fairly happy with it. However, even the recent Amazon reviews are littered with negative comments about this unit's reliability, which gives me concern. This unit hits my sweet spot -- I want the 5" screen, don't want lousy traffic and don't need bluetooth -- though, as always, I wish it had wi-fi and a browser.

Anyway, I now see that Amazon is offering nüvi 1450 refurbs for just $110 -- a full $60 less than new units. It looks like a great deal, but at that discount I can't help but wonder if I'd just be purchasing problems. Refurbs are usually discounted by $20-$25, not $60.

So 1450 users, are you happy with it? Had problems with it? Should a buyer beware of $60 refurb discount?

Thanks for any help/advice. Link to the refurb:

You can't load the entire us and or have the large JCV file in there. You'll have shortened files. You have to load the maps onto a Micro card and the JCV file onto the gps. Also erase all languages you don't need as well as help files, text, voice other then english.
The 1400 series don't have large memories like other Nuvi's. Like my 2460LMT.

If you are responding to my post, please read it again.
