There is
There is no way to track a device that has been stolen according to the Garmin website:
http://www8.garmin.com/law-enforcement/
Nuvi 350, 760, 1695LM, 3790LMT, 2460LMT, 3597LMTHD, DriveLuxe 50LMTHD, DriveSmart 61, Garmin Drive 52, Garmin Backup Camera 40 and TomTom XXL540s.
No
is the quick answer. This was recently discussed in this thread: http://www.poi-factory.com/node/29821

PtrainerNY - yes, you can track a stolen nuvi. In order to do so you first need to build a tracking device which contains fairy dust and moon beams.
No means no

Outside of that, see above posts!

Is that
Is that the same as posting the same question twice?

Sold!
Considering it was stolen earlier this month, if the date of the original post is any indication, it has already been sold on eBay! Track it there.

Stolen Garmin.
Thanks guys. Mine was stolen only last week, end May 2016. You've answered my question. I was hoping that, as I have the box with the 1VU number, I might be able to track it. Now I know I can't. PS I can read English, more importantly, I can comprehend it too.
However
Worth reporting it to Garmin so they can at least remove it from their system so whoever has it can't update maps etc, at least not easily.

I'm a bit disappointed in us
I hope everyone will look at the comments in this thread and consider the fact that the first post by PtrainerNY was on Mon, 07/12/2010 - 12:26pm. Indeed, it has been almost 5 years since PTrainerNY last posted in any thread.
Now it would be easy to miss the vast time difference in posting so comments on posting the same question can be understood. However, let's look at what has transpired and gotten progressively worse.

Enough said.
Maybe
Locking your car would had prevent theft. when I use it and I park on a location I always remove it and hide it under the seat. I notice a lot of people they park and the GPS is full visible..still attached at the windshield..
The less thief see the better it is..
My nuvi was also stolen
My nuvi was also stolen several years ago and contacted Garmin and they were able to remove the device from my list and disable the device when the thief attempted to update

Thieves
With the "modern" remote operation key fobs locking is really trivial and you cannot lock your keys in the car!! Anyway, with the Nuvi magnetic mount removing it from the dash is also quite trivial and if left there it can get very, very hot, to the point of failure. Been there, done that, up in the NC mountains on a very clear and sunny day.
