Just talked to Garmin support. There is a problem with the 2010.20 map update that affects all 37xx Nuvi models.
The result is that no map update is available for these units today.
Garmin is working on a patch, which should be available in a day or so that will allow owners of the 37xx units to download the 2011.20 map update.

I don't see anything for the 1690 either. Interesting that the product somehow differs for different devices.

After the 2011.1 was released it was pulled back because of a problem with the 8 series. It took several weeks for Garmin to work out the bug. I was one that grabbed it for my unit when it was first released and I had to get a reauthorization to d/l the corrected version.

I take it back. I had some confusing msgs on myGarmin page and it took a call to Garmin to sort it out. I'm in the process of d/l 2011.20 as we speak.

You can now download 2011.20 maps for your 37xx units under either the NuMaps Guarantee procedure (one free update if within 60 days of first sat lock) or activate a purchased NuMaps Lifetime Subscription. Just logon to your MyGarmin.com account with the 37xx attached to your PC.
