Wife is having a garage sale this weekend. Hope that everything goes so I can get the car back into the garage. Wish us luck!!

Many times it gets really hot on the East Coast areas esp. NY, the SF Bay Area has a cold spell. The Jet Stream dips in CA not normal for time of year and pulls up on the East. Just and observation.

Still hot in north Georgia and getting dry. My electric and water bills are rising along with the temperature.

Don't look good until early next week, until then enjoy the hot summer!

It's been a little bit warm here in Chicago.

It's hot here in Baltimore as well, but, "ain't the beer cold"

It is so hot the birds are walking with umbrellas.

It is hot and calling for 100 on Saturday here in Delawhere.

Something funny happened while I was watering my Amur Maple Tree....A bunch(flock) (5-6) house finches flew into the tree where I was watering and took "showers"

it's the dog's fault

North America is having a nasty heat wave as we all know. With temperatures in the 90's and Humitures in the 100's we all need to stay hydrated.

The best thing to do is stay inside and relax, or float in water wherever you can. Also you can go to a mall or catch a movie where it is air conditioned during the hottest part of the day just to stay cool.

If you need to be outside and have to work or play and don't have a way to cool off remember to stay HYDRATED.

Adults need 17 to 20 ounces of fluid before beginning activity, as well as an additional 7 to 10 ounces every 10 to 20 minutes during activity. Your fluid needs don't stop when your activity is over -- you should consume 24 ounces of fluid within the first two hours after outdoor activity.

And make sure you check on your elderly neighbors and parents to make sure they are comfortable.

It's hot here, too. I've been spraying the grandkids with the water hose. They're staying cool. If I could run anymore, I'd join them!

We finally got some rain. Everything was really hot & dry. Didn't really need 2 1/2" in 24 hours, but better than the 8+" that fell in some parts of Chicago.

from a week in Virginia Beach, right after those two weeks in that Canadian Rockies.

Basically, I went from 62F (in Calgary) to 110F in a week.

Talk about acceleration...

The rain this afternoon cooled the high temperatures down, but the temperatures will be right back at us tomorrow.
