General POI question re: content accuracy

I recently loaded the POI file "Las Vegas Casinos and Hotels" (http://www.poi-factory.com/node/1046). The marks were WAY off. I left McCarran airport headed for the strip because I already knew where the Imperial Palace was. The POI was pointing me in the totally opposite direction. (Later I followed the lead. It went to a gated community a couple miles east of the airport.) I then checked a few others. They were all off the money. Who takes care of inaccuracies?

TIA, Bob

This MAY be the result of culling out a set of points from another listing which is, itself highly inaccurate.

I have found that the "standard" POI files that are advertised to contain "6 million" listings are pretty pathetic.

I've heard that they come directly from some standard business directory.....like Dunn and Bradstreet.....and are plagued with things like business owners showing their HOME address, to keep from getting a lot of junk mail at the "store".

Magellan Maestro 4250// MIO C310X

Each POI page states the author

Its always best to report errors to the person who created or is now maintaining the file. This is listed on the page that describes the POI file and provides a description of the file.

If you get no response from the author after a reasonable amount of time, contact Miss POI about the corrections and she can usually help out with updating the file.
